The Swiss Smallbore Rifle Club Inc, located in Manly Vale Sydney, is a non-profit organization established in the 70's to promote small bore (.22 rimfire) rifle shooting. The club provides coaching at no cost for beginners and club rifles and other equipment are available for just $1 per visit. Ammunition is also available at the club. In addition, the club also conduct Firearms Safety Awareness Test for applicants of the NSW Shooter's license. The Swiss Smallbore Rifle Club is located in Manly Vale, business hours of the club are Friday 19:30 - 21:30 and Sunday 9:15 to 12:00. The club is usually closed on public holidays and long weekends. Contrary to common perceptions, target shooting is a safe and inexpensive sport. We consider safety as a high priority and shooters are under strict supervision of the range officer. All new members are coached individually at no additional cost until they are proficient in the safe handling of a firearm. If you don't have a shooter's license and would like to give the sport a try, download and fill in a temporary membership form. When you come down to the club, don't forget to bring the original and a photocopy of your proof of identity. Examples of proof of identity documents are passport or driver's license. If your application is successful, the cost of a one off temporary club membership is $10. After three visits, you will be invited to join the club as a full member. Annual membership fee is $110 for Senior, $75 for Junior and Pensioner, and $180 for Family.
