Smallbore and Air Rifle shooting is an olympic sport which operates under the auspices of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF).

The New South Wales Smallbore and Air Rifle Association is affiliated with Target Rifle Australia.

The sport includes five disciplines, these include:

• Air Rifle
• 50 Metre Prone
• 3x40 Free Rifle
• Sport Rifle
• Bench Rest
